Magnekon started its magnet wire operations in March of 1997 as an independent company, being the result of the successful expansion of the magnet wire division of Conductores Monterrey.
Since then, Magnekon has a continued to invest heavily in technology processes and in its personnel as it seeks to aggressively compete in the international arena with the best products and services available in the market. The four modern manufacturing facilities, three located in Monterrey and an affiliate in Tres Corazones, Brazil (São Marco) operate with state-of-the-art equipment and feature in-line controls for the drawing, enameling, testing and reeling process.
In addition to the great participation within the domestic segment, Magnekon has been able to successfully participate in the Maquiladora and Exports market, placing over 60% of its sales in the US, Canada, diverse countries in Central and South America, plus inroads into the Asian and European markets.
