LITs: NITTOKU's Ultra-High-Speed, High-Precision Transfer System
Nittoku’s LITs system is an ultra-high-speed and high-precision transfer system designed to solve the various problems that plague production facilities. The LITs system will shorten production time, increase FA, reduce maintenance time and save space over traditional transportation systems.
The LIT’s system is focused around three main features that make it stand out among other transportation systems; accuracy, speed and flexibility.
When it comes to manufacturing automation, accuracy is key. The LITs system has a positional accuracy of ±0.02mm. XZ axial positioning is performed by a direct moving guide while the Y axial positioning is performed by the position unit.
Speed is an important factor in every manufacturing process and the LITS system provides smooth acceleration and high-speeds. Through servo-motor control, smooth acceleration movement and a smooth transfer from slow to stop of the LITs pallets is possible. The LITs system can attain a speed of 3m/sec without vibration due to the system’s high rigidity.
Flexibility is also core to the LITs system design. With a maximum pallet load of 15kg and a vertical withstand load of 5000N, the LITS system can handle a wide variety of loads and processes. Variations in pitch, connecting to lines and double-decker lines are also possible with the LITs system.
Due to the high-speed and positioning systems of LITs, stopper sensors are not required and the number of pallets required are reduced when compared to a traditional conveyor system. Compared to a table index method, the linear layout of LITs allows for better line visibility, accessibility and the ability to extend to a limitless number of process.
Nittoku LITs system is a benchmark change in how we think about manufacturing transportation systems. With its reliable high-precision accuracy, speeds of 3 m/s and flexible design and layout, Nittoku’s LITs system is a breakthrough in transfer systems and a step beyond the competition.
